Zoom Bible Studies

We have two zoom Bible studies, one at 10 am on Tuesdays and one at 7 pm on Thursdays from September through June. Contact the rector, The Rev. Ann B. Barker, at 703-622-2373 for more information and to receive the zoom link.

Sunday Formation

On Sunday mornings, adult education is offered at 9:30 in the parlor from September to June. We explore a variety of topics to broaden our perspectives and deepen our faith. Check with Rev. Ann for more information.

Education for Ministry

Education for Ministry (EfM) is a four-year program designed to help individuals study the Christian faith in a small group setting, where they can explore their own relationship with God, other Christians and the world. Participants deepen their understanding of the Old Testament, New Testament, the development of Christianity over the centuries, and their own spirituality, faith and commitment. Once a week from September through May, these Christians are afforded an opportunity to expand their own faith, refine and further their understanding of their place in God’s universe, and consider what God may have for them to do. EfM uses a process called TR (theological reflection) to reflect on their experiences and those of others in a manner that allows us to bring in our faith and both our own and
others’ interpretations of that faith into the process.

Soup Suppers

During Lent, St. Joseph’s offers an opportunity to gather weekly to enjoy a light supper together and engage in study of the Bible and other theological topics to deepen our faith during this special time.
