Welcome

All are Welcome to  St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in McDonough, GA

Please join us for Sunday Worship

at 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM

All are welcome to receive Holy Communion.

We are an inclusive, affirming, and diverse community, where all are welcomed as children of God. We seek to make the world better by loving people as Jesus loved us so we can bring people closer to God.  We have several community outreach projects for which we provide monetary and in-kind donations.  St. Joseph's hosts a plant sale and an animal blessing for the community.  We have a knitting and crochet group and monthly game nights.  Come join us as we reach out to serve the world and get together for community fun.

St. Josephs mission is to deepen our relationships with God so we can embody Christ in the world.  We are a community of grace:  demonstrating the transforming power of Jesus Christ as we engage in joyful and meaningful worship; grow spiritually through prayer, study and fellowship; and radiate Gods healing love to a broken world through compassionate outreach.

Come Explore Racism

Racism is a very important topic in the society at large, and it is important for Christians to be informed about the behaviors and attitudes that contribute to this social evil so that we can be aware of the unconscious bias we may encounter in our daily lives and be able to respond to situations as Jesus would.

St. Joseph's is offering a course called "Exploring Racism."  Based on an Episcopal education program called Dismantling Racism, the course explores the topic with discussion, films, articles and prayers.  The course will be held on Sundays October 13, 20 and 27 from 9:25 to 10:20 in the parish hall.  It also will be repeated the following Wednesdays, October 16, 23 and 30 from 6:30 to 7:30 in the same place.  If you would like to spend some time exploring this important issue, please join us one of those times.  You do not have to be able to attend all three sessions to participate.

Please join us for these sessions and be informed.
